We are pleased to announce the introduction of on-line continuing education in risk management exclusively for midwives. We offer two courses:

In a user-friendly way, you will reduce your risk of liability related to assessment of fetal well being. Not only should it enhance your peace of mind that your exposure to being on the losing end of a lawsuit is reduced, but it will qualify you for a 5% premium reduction of your professional liability insurance if you participate in the ACNM-endorsed plan. The credit applies for two years from completion of a course.

You can access the courses from home or office by clicking on the above link. The enrollment page and the courses reside on a secure server with state of the art privacy protection. After entering some basic information about you and your credit card (there is a fee of $115 to defray the costs of development and maintenance), you can begin.

You will be shown information and graphics, and be able to register responses as you move through the course to confirm your understanding. Your responses will be confirmed correct or you can link to further information about the correct response. Each course takes about one hour. At the end, you will take a mastery test to confirm completion. After your interactive exposure to the course’s content, this should be the easiest test you ever took!

You can return to the course as many times as you wish, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you begin the course and are interrupted by a delivery or just want to take a break, you can return at any time. You can also take the mastery test as many times as is necessary to successfully complete it. The point is ultimately to walk away from your computer with a full understanding of the course content.

You avoid the time and expense of travel to a “live” course, earn a 5% discount of your professional liability premiums over two years and gain needed CEU credit.
